It's been more than a week since I got this pair of AWESOME headphones.

So let me start off by INTRODUCING!!!

The AWESOME Beats by Dr Dre headphones!!!

All I can tell you after one week of using it is that, it's just fabulous!!! It's style and performance all in one. I have to say, these are one of the sexiest headphones that money can buy. It's got punchy lows, balance mids, and seriously nice highs. I love my highs and my lows more than anything, and these are just perfect for me. Here are some photos I took.

*It comes with an instruction booklet, which I never read*

*Along with 2 cables, an airplane adaptor, 1/4" adaptor, AAA batteries, and a realli good cloth that cleans off ur thumbprint smudges cuz of the glossy finish*

*The AAA batteries are used for noice canceling. Which is pretty much the only drawback of this headphone cuz you have to switch it on to use it. No switch on, means no use. lol. But it's nothing big realli.*

*So after a week of using it, I am glad to say I have made another good choice of what gadget to own. hehehe...*

Another thing that caught my attention other than the performance, is how popular they are in the US. There are a lot of celebrities that are now using Beats by Dr Dre. I think it's more of a fashion accesory when it comes to celebrities using it. I found a few photos of celebs using Beats.

*Lady Gaga and Paris. Btw, Lady Gaga has her own line of earphones by Monster as well. I think they're called heartbeats.*

To sum it all up, Beats by Dr Dre is a wonderful pair of headphones, but it all depends on the wallet factor. You can get much much better quality headphones out there for a cheaper price, but it's just not something you would use when u go out. Beats are retailed at US$350. I got them for around.. US$310 including postage, which is actually much cheaper if u get it in Malaysia. I had a friend go check out the price for me in KL, and they had it for RM1999. So I had it for nearly half the price. Money well spent. =D

My Purple Blackberry Bold

I've been using my blackberry bold for a while now, and I must say...It is THE best phone I've used to date. No shit...It is that good, and I've owned quite a few phones. First of all, I am addicted to qwerty phones. Secondly, I use my blackberry for everything... It's linked to my email, so whenever i get a new email, I just check it through my phone instead of login into my Yahoo mail and delete whatever email there is. With my blackberry, I can just reply straight away, or delete it. It's seriously soooo convenient. I also use it to surf the web when I'm not at home as well as MSN. Since I'm on a plan with unlimited web browsing and email, there is no internet limit for me. Pretty awesome. But I do pay $69 a month, but really worth it, cause I also get like $350 of credit to use as well as like 300 free minutes every month to call to people within the same network. Anyways, today I received a postage. I've recently ordered a new housing for my blackberry, just so that I could refresh my blackberry up as well as be different to other people. So...i got myself a... PURPLE housing!!! Yes!!! PURPLE!!! I know, you might be saying.. wth?! That's a girly colour. Well.. SCREW THAT!!! Nothing wrong for a guy to like purple. Only REAL men dare to use feminine colours. Anyways, I didn't take a before picture, so I just got a photo off the internet. Enjoy~

I was actually quite surprised that no one chose this name. Guess Mazda 2s aint really a favourite amongst ppl here. Oh wells, my gain their lost... hehe...

I decided to take photos of my JVC head unit in the end... cuz my fren wanted to have a look at it..so, here is my JVC KW AVX-820, 7" touch screen double din head unit.

*Fits perfectly in the double din enclosure i bought*

*Looks very original... They actually have 7" satellite navigation systems in the Mazda Demios in Japan as an accessory*

*The mic which i hide on the side. So, when ppl call my phone, it shows on the screen, and i just simply touch the screen and talk through the microphone, while the sound comes out from the speakers, as the music is temporarily paused*

*Them menu list. You have the AV setup, which u change the AV settings, mode..uurm..dunno bout that... equalizer, list of songs from ur USB, sound..for u to change sound settings such as fader and balance, and bluetooth for u to sync ur phone with the head unit*

*7 Presets to choose from and 3 for u to configure to ur liking*

*Fader and balance interface. So pretty much, you just touch wherever u want your sound to be. In this case, the middle for a surround sound.*

*Comes with a remote, which I hardly use*

it only took them 2 days to deliver, using UPS. Which is great... cuz they sent it on friday... and i got it on monday..meaning UPS even works on weekends!!!

well, it's nothing much, but just got bored... so wanted to do something for a while...

*the tea i drink the most, (mostly because i have to finish 100 packets of it b4 i can buy a new one), is the Australian Breakfast tea!!! it's like your everyday lipton tea, but not as strong as lipton. A bit lighter you could say.*

*yes! since my 100 bags of tea bags are nearly to an end, i bought a different type of tea by Tetley. Since it's british, and i'm so british (hahaha.. british wannabe), i thought i'd give it a go. English teas are always nice. =D*

*Next, is my Japanese Green Tea. We (my family) usually just stick with one brand, but some how... i have 3 different brands in my pantry..*

*This is the one that i drink all time. My choice of green tea. I've tried a few types out there, but found this to be the best. It's not cheap, but it's good.*

*brought this over from kch, cuz my parents thought that there wasn't any green tea left here. Since we couldnt find our usual brand, so we tried this one instead. Not bad.*

*O.S.K. Well.... a lot of ppl seems to be having this brand of tea..but i think there just enough taste and smell in it. Dun like it, but still would drink it if there wasnt any tea left in the pantry*

*These are lil tin box of tea leaves a friend gave me from England. British meaning "THIS HAS TO BE GOOD!!!" and it is!!! Here we have the English Afternoon Tea*

*and the English Breakfast Tea. I wonder....maybe.... if they have a dinner tea, or possibly a supper tea... tat'd be good too i reckon. lol. That reminds me, i wonder how much tea does the english consume a day... Hhmm.... Lemme see... u have breakfast tea, morning tea, lunch tea, afternoon tea, high tea, dinner tea, supper tea, and tea b4 u go to bed... Geezz....*

*This is the famous Xi Hu Long Jing Cha. My cousin's bf got this from me when he went back to china. He told me that this is the best long jing tea you can get in China. A bit too light for my taste, cuz i'm so used to british..i mean english tea...cuz i'm british...yes...i am.... british...*

*AHEM... Got this from.. DUH...sabah... cuz it's called Sabah tea. Mind you, the tea plantations are soo beautiful. They line so neatly on the slope of the hills, and when you pass it, the scenery is just mesmerising. Good tea, if you love cinnamon. I LOVE CINNAMON...Cinnamon rolls... yumm.... with tea.... emmmm....yes... i'm turning all british now....*

*This is one of those INFUSED tea. They just name it white tea, cuz the tea is light in colour. This one here is Rasberry, and you can get many other flavours. It tastes.... kinda tasteless, just tat the fruity aroma is very nice...*

*And finally, with me here is a tea... all the way from Sweden!!! Yes!!! SWEDEN!!! This is the rhubarb and vanilla tea. Doesnt it sound so nice??? Who knew rhubarb and vanilla could be such a good combination??? Found this one when i went to Ikea, oh yes! Ikea! They sell all sorts of swedish products. Tea, coffee, cakes, biscuits, chocolates. And they're not tat expensive at all. I wonder if those are the products the Swedish rejected and exported all around the world to be sold....*

So yeah..there you have it... my tea collection....

My Mazda is white...meaning that IT GETS DIRTY LIKE SO FAST!!!! Especially where I park at work. No matter how many times i clean it, it's always dirty after a day. Bird poo is the worse. Is it just me? or does the birds here shit more the ones back in Malaysia??? It's soo annoying!!! I just washed my car just now with a bottle of Armor All Car Wash I just bought not long ago. Nothing special... I should've bought the Car wash and wax one. Anyways, just like 10 minutes after washing and cleaning my car, guess wad i see on my windscreen? FCKING BIRD POO!!!! RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE DRIVER'S SEAT!!! So annoying!!! Maybe I was not fated to wash cars. One morning, I woke up at 8 am to clean my car. Took me about an hour. 10 am, IT RAINED!!! and my car was all dirty again!!! I was so pissed... but i persisted and cleaned it again at night. Then the next day after uni, bird poo all over my car. I seriously wanna kill those birds... bloody hell...

But now, it's all clean again, so I'm happy...for now... My next agenda for my car is polishing it. It's just not smooth anymore. It feels soo nice after you polish the whole car. So smooth and shiny.... ahhhhh....... My uncle just bought a new car and all he does when he's free is polish... he spends at least an hour on ONE PANEL. Now, it's like so freaking smooth. smoother than baby's skin. SERIOUSLY!!! But, no point for me to spend an hour on a panel, cuz it's gonna get dirty after 10 minutes. =S Oh wells... bought this Sonax Easy Shine polish. Used a bit, and just think that it's ok. Dries very fast, which is good in a way. So, yeah... looking forward to the polishing. =D

Yesterday, my cousins, uncle and I went to the cinema to watch

MONSTERS VS ALIENS

3D!!!!

Yes!!! 3D!!! My first 3D experience, and I have to tell you, one of the best!!!

The tickets cost like $19 for adults, and with that you have to pay an extra $5 deposit for the glasses. These glasses aint those cardboard glasses. They're actually made from glass.

The movie is about a girl who, on her wedding day turned into a giant after a meteorite crashed down outside the chapel and the "quantonium" inside the meteorite somehow got into the girl's body and made her a giant. She was then put into a secret military facility with other monsters. They all end up fighting aliens (well, actually there's only ONE alien, the others are just his clones) and saving the entire human race.

Cute characters, hillarious scenes and breathtaking 3D experience makes this movie a MUST WATCH!!! i give it 2 THUMBS UP!!! (i'd give it more if i had more thumbs)

Yes, another post about cars. But this time, it's related to the general public!!!

"HOW SAFE IS YOUR CAR???"

So, how safe is your car really?

Has it got safety features such as:

Airbags & Side Airbags
ABS (Anti Lock Brake System)
EBD (Electronice Brake-force Distributor)
EBA (Electronic Brake Assist)
DSC (Dynamic Stability Control)
TCS (Traction Control System)

Yes? No? The number of deaths in car accidents have increased over the past few years. Why? Mainly because people have been drive recklessly and drink driving. Other than that is due to the safety in the car.

Boring you say??? Well... Not so boring once u see how important safety is in a car. Nowadays, almost every car is standard with ABS and airbags. However, these alone won't save many lives. So, they've come up with other electronics that'll help with the safety of car such as EBD, EBA, DSC, and TCS.

Recently, they have come up with a program called the European New Car Assessment Programme, or Euro NCAP for short. By law, all new car models must pass certain safety tests before they are sold. But legislation provides a minimum statutory standard of safety for new cars, it is the aim of Euro NCAP to encourage manufacturers to exceed these minimum requirements.

And guess what car I came across when browsing the Euro NCAP website??? A PROTON WAJA!!! The maximum stars u can get is 5 stars. If ur car has a 5 star Euro NCAP rating, it means that your car is a very safe car!!! Guess how many stars the Proton Waja scored????

YES!!! 3 STARS!!! which is....not that great at all...

There's a picture which shows how badly the body parts are damaged during a collision.

As you see, green means good, orange means ok, red means u're in deep shit.... AND AS YOU CAN SEE ON THE CHART....If you're a driver, driving a Proton Waja (it's called Proton Impian...as it was their dream to sell it overseas...and let a lot of ppl crash n die in it....)... AS YOU CAN SEE... if u drive a Proton Waja, your legs will break, you chest will rot.. and yeah... pretty much... u'll either die in the crash...or u're still die eventually... while ur passenger are laughing at you at the side.. thinking "WHY THE HELL DID YOU BUY THIS CAR?!" Seriously...why did you??? I know it's cheap lah..but then... aiyo... get a Honda City??? Or Toyota Vios???? It's not that far off in terms of pricing right???

Ok, here are some of the comments that were stated on the website

So please...please... If you love yourself... and love others who love you... please get a car with reasonable safety. The last thing your loved ones want to see of you is in between pieces of car metal.

Scirocco or the Golf GTi???

I cannot believe that in my previous post which talks about my top 10 hot hatches, I did not mentioned about this 2 magnificently designed and engineered hatched from VW. Mind you, I am a VW or V-Dub as they call it supporter.

After 4 years, VW have created the new Golf, the Mark 6 Golf. The Golf is probably one of the oldest hatches that is still in production. I was a fan of the Golf ever since the MK5 first came out. I would just stare at the Mk5 GTi for hours and wouldn't leave sight of it. But it became some sort of an eyesore after seeing so many of them on the streets now. Everywhere u go, there's bound to be a GTi somewhere. Which means that it's a hell good of a car, yet still costs so much to afford one. Other than it's great exterior design, the interior of the Mk5 Golf is a bit of a put off. I first saw the Mk5 GTi at the Perth Motor Show, forgot which year it was. I was joyous to see one of them on display, but when i got into it... the interior really did suck out some of my enthusiasm. The seats are all make of fabric that is hard when u sit on, and the deck is made from.... what seems to they eye as...cheap plastic. Nothing inside is eyecatching, except for the "GTi" logo. Then again, with an 2 litre engine that brings you from knot to 60 in under 7 seconds, this car is really fast!!! And that's what i love about it most... A pocket rocket!!!

In 2008, they revealed the new Golf. First few pictures that i saw of it wasn't really what i expected to be as.... pretty nor sexy. But as i went on watching video reviews on youtube, I found out that the Mk6 Golf is actually very stunning. Despite it's small and long shaped grill in front, and smaller headlights, it is actually very pretty the more you look at it. It has taillights that are of the VW Touareg. ( I LOVEEEE TOUAREG!!!) The interior quality has improved from the previous Golf, styling is a bit better.And apparently, since it's cheaper for VW to build the new Golf than the old one, it is actually selling at a cheaper price than b4!!! They've also added a few horses into the bonnet from the previous engine. What's best is that the addition of horsepower doesnt compensate for extra fuel!!! Instead, it uses less!!! BRILLIANT!!! Honestly, I really really love this car. Just the normal Golf is good enough for me.

However the new Golf GTi wouldn't be on Australian shores for sometime. Though, once it's here, I would really love to go for a test drive, eventhough I'm not buying it. But hey, test-drives are free!!! haha..

Other than the Golf GTi that I would be waiting, there's another car from VW that i'll be dying to see!!! The VW Scirocco. It's pretty much a Golf GTi under the bonnet, but it just looks.... marvelous!!! It's like dressing up a really beautiful girl, with say... a Dolce and Gabanna dress. PLUS!!! They've changed the suspension of the Scirocco and make it handle better. Of course, with all the extra add-ons, it's i think a few thousand more expensive than the Golf GTi.

Sooo... which one would it be??? The Golf??? or the Scirocco???

10 things i CANNOT live without

10 things that i cannot live without... 10 THINGS THAT I WILL DIE IF I DON'T HAVE THEM!!! ok lah..not die lah..but like... MUST HAVE!!! (there are no particular order in which i like most)

#1 CAR

Yes, car.... If no car, how to go to uni? If no car, how to go to work? Of course you could say take bus lahh... but then... it's really so much easier if got car. I'm driving a 1989 Daihatsu Charade (as old as me!!!) for 3 years already, and I love it!!! This car has never broke down on me and it's very fuel economical too!!! I bought it for $300 only can u believe it or not... and i've got a new radio deck and speakers in them. Not hardcore speakers and stuff lah, just sufficient enough to give me good sound on the go. One thing though I have to complain about over and over again is AIRCONDITIONING in this car. It has no air con. NONE. NIL. ZERO. I hate to drive it when it's like 37 DEGREES like TODAY!!! you wind the window... *wind blows* hot air... u switch on the car fan... *wind blows* hot air... IT IS SERIOUSLY ANNOYING!!! But other than that, I have NO complaints about this baby. Though, I think i should get a new car with airconditioning sometime soon...

#2 CROCS

Ahh, my crocs. My mickey mouse crocs... Funny that I see so many people wearing crocs, but I hardly see anyone wearing them mickey mouse ones. I think they are seriously nice to wear and cute too!!! I've been in almost the worst possible terrain with them! In Bandung, Indonesia, i wore them. In Sabah, i wore them. At uni, I wear them. I wear them almost EVERYWHERE i go!!! Ever since I got them, my poor Adidas have been sitting in the corner thinking "do u not love me anymore??? T.T" I still love you, just that I love Crocs a bit more... a tiny tiny bit.. haha.. If you haven't got crocs, go try one out!!! seriously nice!!!

#3 DSLR

Ok, I've only been into the photography world for less than a year, but I seriously CANNOT live without my dslr. I bring it out almost EVERYDAY!!! you can ask any of my friends. Even if i dun use it, I'll bring it with me. Who knows, maybe if something rare or interesting caught my eye, I can just go "snap" and take a photo. I think I'm considered a bit of a camera geek. Eventhough i just started, but i've already got 4 lens. 2 lens that originally came with it, and another 2 which i got later on. Photography is so much fun, and it makes u see the world in a whole new perspective...see things you never notice... Photography has definitely made my life a whole new experience. So, dun be shy and take photos! any photos! photos of urself (vainnnnn), cars, birds, ANYTHING!!! the only limit is ur imagination!!!

#4 MOBILE PHONE

But yeah, I CANNOT LIVE WITHOUT IT!!!! It wakes me up in the morning. Reminds me of what I have to do later in the day. Make calls to people. Texts people. Mobile phone is my life, my life is my mobile phone. I'm currently using the Nokia E71, and I tell you, this phone is really really good. It's got good battery life, wifi, 3G, GPS....pretty much everything i need!!! I love soo much. Oh..mine's black. Apparently it's a new batch of E71 with new colours and better firmware. I see a lot of ppl in uni using it, but I've not seen one in black yet.. hehe... so, I'm HAPPY!!! =D

#5 CRUMPLER BAG

Well, doesn't have to be Crumpler bag lah... Before I was carrying a very old bag that I've used for a long time liaw, cuz I need to carry my camera and water bottle around with me. But now that I've got the Crumpler, I'll bring it almost everywhere i go. =D

#6 IPOD

Music!!! I cannot live without music!!! and what better way to listen to music in style??? With an IPOD of cuz!!! haha.. no larh.. It just happens that my portable music device is an Ipod Touch. 8GB is more than enough music for me. I don't think I even use all 8GB for music. Most of the storage i think is used for videos. But yeah, the Ipod Touch is great!!! Not only can u use it to listen to music, and watch videos, but also can use to go online!!! Pair it up with a pair of good earphones, and you're good to go!!!! (WARNING: IPOD EARPHONES SUXX TO THE MAXX!!!)

#7 LAPTOP

What would you do without a computer? Or in my case a laptop. Actually, I have both, but then laptop is so portable. can bring it wherever u go. Uni life is soo much easier with a laptop. No need to queue up to use a computer, and plus the uni have wireless almost everywhere. So convinient. So many ppl in uni using macbook. Seriously, I dun realli know wad's so good bout it. It's expensive, that's for sure. But then, Windows can do the same thing as it, and much much cheaper some more!!! I was thinking of getting one, but then... like what Liang Chiat said "you pay for the looks only". I'm using the Asus F9s. Good lil laptop, but then only thing i need to complain about it is the battery life. Ridiculously short!!! 2 hrs is probably the max on battery saving mode. Other than that, nothing much i can complain about. Hehe. But I still really want a macbook... Hhmmm..mayb another few more years.. hahaha...

#8 TEA

*sniffs hard* MmmmmmmMmmmmm.... T-E-A. "Tea is not a drink. Tea is life." Or something like that.. Well, that's how I think the chinese people say it. Tea is probably one of the most drank beverage in the world. My china friend told me, if you go to any restaurant, they will automatically serve u tea, unless you order something else. That's how important tea is to them. It's like you go to the market, and they know you want to buy vegetables and meat. ( well DUHHH.... obviously...) Anyways, I drink tea like everyday!!! 7 days a week. 2-3 times a day? My personal favourite is green tea. My parents also drink green tea everyday, so does my grandmother, and my uncle, and aunty. Our family live on tea basically. I have soo many types of tea right now in my kitchen pantry. I have Earl Grey, English Breakfast Tea, English Afternoon Tea from England. Green Tea from Japan. Jasmine tea from China. This Rhubarb and Vanilla Tea from Sweden. (i bought it from Ikea actually) Cinnamon Sabah Tea from Sabah. Chinese Herbal tea. Teh C tea leaves from Kuching. And the normal lipton tea that we buy in the supermarket. I dunno how to describe the feeling after a hard days work and you sit down and relax..then u sip a small sip..and ur whole body feels... Aaahhh... soo nice.... It's like urrm... what do they call it.. A Zen state??? something like that. Perfect harmony with your surrounding and your body. ME LOVE TEA!!!

#9 COFFEE

Ok, something else that's not as good as tea, but is still something I cannot live without. COFFEE!!! Long black, flat white, cappucinno, latte. You name it!!! I LOVE IT!!! (except for espresso..please...not that strong...) Though I usually have the NESCAFE 3 in 1 coffee, I was really into this Organic Caramel Hazelnut coffee my friend's mum gave me. Aiyo... It's like soo fragrant, yet not too sweet. Just the way I like it!!! so sad that i cannot bring into Australia, cuz got milk powder. But for me right now, long black, no sugar is the best way to start a healthy lifestyle! =D

#10 ANIME

Yes... ANIME!!! I've finally decided what my last thing i CANNOT live without. It's ANIME!!! I am not those Japan anime freaks, where you go and buy models of them and get high over it. I just like to watch it. Ok, Mel would probably say "but it's not real". But i like it. There are some things that people cannot do, therefore need to be put into animation so that it can happen. I think I've started watching anime since i was a lil boy. The first anime probably was Dragonball Z. Yes... *sob..sob* brings back nostalgic memories... anyways.. I'm still watching anime, and I dun think that it should be something that only kids can watch. I reckon I would probably still continue watching when i grow old. Haha. Other than watching, I also read manga, mostly cuz the story is faster than the anime. It takes longer to make an episode for an anime than manga. Currently, I'm watching a few new ones that just came out, such as "Chrome Shelled Regios", "Toradora" and "Tower of Druuga : Sword of Uruk". All very nice animes. No, I don't watch bleach and Naruto cuz the story is so behind the manga's. So, i'm reading them on the manga instead. Another manga that I read and would like to specify is "History's Strongest Disciple: Kenichi" cuz it's my favourite so far!!! Dell Wasabi

Ok, i've found something very interesting on the internet a few days ago. It's called the Dell Wasabi. It's a portable printer that runs on lithium ion rechargable batteries.. (i think)... but what amazes me is that it doesnt need ink to print the photos!!! It uses special paper that has been pre-treated with hidden inks. As the paper passes through the printer head, the required colours are activated through the transfer of heat and the result is a glossy, clean photo with no smudges, fading, or curling. This technology is called Zero Ink, or ZINK for short. The size of the photos printed out are about credit card size.

Another interesting thing is that it has Bluetooth 2.0 built into it. That means you can instantly send photos from your phone through bluetooth and print it out. From the video review i saw, it takes about 40 seconds for a print. The battery lasts about 15 prints if i'm not mistaken and quality wise is just so so. I checked on the Dell Australia website, and the printer itself costs around RM600. For the ZINK paper, there isnt a price for it yet. But probably a bit more expensive than ur usual photo paper.

Overall, I still think that the Dell Wasabi is a great, cute lil printer mainly aimed at teenagers, who dun realli care bout print quality, and wants compact photos on the go.

Overall, I think Indonesia is a great place!!! Despite the air pollution, many pit pockets, and beggars, I think everyone should go and have a look. Jakarta is really something. A lot of ppl keep thinking oh...Indonesia is dirty...dangerous..bla bla bla... Nowhere is safe! tat's a fact. As long u travel in a group, you'll be fine. I JUST LOVEEEE shopping in Jakarta. THEY ARE HUGE!!! they are seriously a lot of shopping malls there, but i only went to 2. LOVE IT!!! Bandung on the other hand is very very nice!!! i love the weather. Although there are still a bit of air pollution, but i just love the cool weather up there. I love the shopping there too! soo cheap!!! They have weird weird Tshirts which I LOVEEEEE... haha... the food there is very nice also!!! But i hardly tried roadside food, cuz they advice u not too. To my conclusion, YES i will go back to Jakarta and Bandung again!!! Do go there if u see cheap tickets!!! lol.

Now.... he's gone.... in search of a better place hopefully.

At 47, all he left behind was his lovely wife, Aunty Pat. No children.

Today is BLOODY hot. It felt like summer. Not a midsummer night's dream...but like a blazing hot summer in australia. But it's not even summer yet!!! I hate summer. 40 degrees of hell... the breeze feels like STEAM. the sunlight feels like toothpick poking through your skin. Everything is wrong about summer. There's nothing i like about it. No...i dun think there is anything i like about it.. BUT WHERE WAS SPRING????? my goodness.. only a few months ago, it was bloody cold. ok.this is what i remembered from the past few months till now.

Rain...rain...rain...more rain....even more rain........and POOF!!!! BLOODY HOT WEATHER!!!!
what the hell happened to spring??? my favourite season of all. (winter sucks here....no winter wonderland...more like a drenched horrorland) SPRING?!!! where are you??? did u like miss the seasonal bus??? Did u fall asleep in the bus when it was August??? WHAT HAPPENED TO U??? i miss u.... so much....so badly.... spring...u were my one....true....l...l...o...o....v..v...able season of all!!! It seems like we've grown apart already... I dun think i can wait another year to see u.... you dunno how much i want you right now....SPRING!!!! come back to me.... T.T

PIXEL WARS

Just less than 10 years ago, dad brought home our first digital camera. It was a Nikon Coolpix, but I can't remember which model. It had a 3.1MP sensor in it, and had one of the highest megapixels during that time. How much was it? RM2000+ for a 3.1MP Nikon camera. We loved it! It used compact flash memory which cost a few hundred for a 256MB compact flash. Digital photography was still new to us in the family, and pixels didn't really matter. The transition from 35mm film to digital was also adapted really fast. After all, all we did was just 'point n shoot' and not bothering about changing it to other settings. "A" (automatic mode) was Absolutely Amazing for us. Then the years went on, and the Nikon was left aside in the box and used occasionally for special events such as birthdays. Pixels in cameras increased like how the Australian dollar increased. I'm not talking about the Australian currency now, I know how badly it's dropped, but over the past 10 years. (by the way... it's AUD$1 is approx. RM2.40 now)
3MP was the best you could get in the late 20th century. RM2000+ was the price you'd spend on a 3MP camera in the late 20th century. Today, 3MP cameras are ANCIENT. People would be too embarrass to bring out their old 3MP digital camera. Now, almost everyone has at least a 5MP camera, because the prices have dropped dramatically due to the big market out there. You could get yourself a 5MP kodak digital camera for under AUD$100 now, that's how cheap it is.

I've recently made myself interested in photography. All this while, photography was really just point and shoot to me. As long as i get a picture, I'm happy with it. Everything has changed now after buying my first camera. Yes, MY FIRST in the year 2008. All these while, all my photos was taken with my phone. It started off with a Nokia 6670 which was a staggering 1.3MP. Then i upgraded myself to a Nokia N80 which was 3MP. All these were non-autofocus. Then came my Motorola V8 which was a 2MP camera phone. Why did i degrade myself??? Well, I didn't think much of photography and always thought that the quality of a camera phone is no match with an actual camera. Being a 5MP N95 compared to any 5MP camera out there, the result is obvious. There's is only so much stuff you can fit into a phone. Now, I'm using a 2MP autofocus LG Prada. I must admit, the quality is not good, but autofocus is always there for me. My first step in my self-taught guide to phography is reading magazines. I only bought my camera like 2 months ago, and now I'm a proud owner of nearly 10 photography magazines. Just by reading and not physically getting out there to photograph, you learn a lot of techniques that creates a good photo. I am considered really new in photography, like a new born baby in the photography world. It'll be a while before I can create stunning pictures. As for now, teaching myself through books is the best way to go.

Anyways, I'm off topic. PIXEL WARS!!! Like i said, it was only less than 10 years ago, 3MP was the highest pixel. In 2007, Canon came out with the world's highest pixel camera, which was the Canon EOS 1Ds Mark III. It boasts a 21.1MP sensor in it, and is the most common used full frame Dslr. How much is this??? It's about AUD$21000+. Yup! it's THAT expensive. Almost every pro photographer owns one of this.

Last month, Sony unveiled their first full frame Dslr. The Sony Alpha 900. I am not too sure what the pricing on this camera, but it'll be around the same as the EOS 1Ds. EXPENSIVE!!! A month ago, this camera claimed the title of being the world's highest pixel camera with it's 24.6MP sensor.

A few weeks later in Cologne, Germany, Leica showed the world what they were capable of by stealing away Sony's title of the world's highest pixel camera by introducing the Leica S2, at Photokina, one of the largest biennial photo-imaging tradeshows. This baby has a 37MP sensor in it. Leica was unable to provide pricing and availability at press time, but knowing the prestige of the brand, we'll probably have to pay a lot more for the S2 than other dSLRs.

And when u thought 37MP was the highest resolution u can get this year... think again!!! the Swedish camera company, Hasselblad has created a MONSTER camera. SO how many MPs do u think this camera has??? Since Leica has already created a 37MP one, mayb 40MP??? 45MP??? From innovative Volvos, to heavenly delicious Swedish meatballs, it seems that Swedish like to amaze the world with their ingenious ideas. Hasselblad has come out with a 50MEGAPIXEL CAMERA!!!! 50!!!! that's like... INSANE!!! so what??? in 2 years time, they're gonna come up with a 100MP camera??? hahaha...

But end of the day, do you really need a camera with such a high resolution??? To me, 20+MP would the most I'd go. What do you think??? the more pixels the better???

Guess what I bought today??? MY CAMERA BACKPACK!!! Initially, i ordered a sidebag with a camera compartment at my uni's bookshop. The main reason i wanted to get a sidebag was because i wanted something to hold my new camera, as well as my laptop. The ladies at the bookshop said that they'll contact me after they've receive it, which is usually in 2 weeks time, no more. It's been nearly a month now, and yesterday I went to find out whether if my bag has arrived. "No..." no...my bag hasn't arrive yet, and the camera compartment (which i have to buy separately) is out of stock. Nil. No more.. So, i was really disappointed... so I thought "hey, why not get a backpack instead???" Because i'll be going for holidays, and a backpack is much more convinient than a side bag. So i went to Crumpler's website to check out the backpack they offered. oh, for those who duno wad Crumpler is??? It's just a company that makes really trendy and good quality bags for gadgets such as your laptop, camera, video camera, etc. SOooo...this morning after uni, I went to the city to get myself the backpack which I REALLY like after playing with it in the store. Wasnt what i wanted at first, but found it to be really really good! =D Here are some photos.

Having said that, no matter if it's made in China, or made in Indonesia, you pay for what you get. Even if it's made in China, the product will still be good and may last you a very very long time. Crumpler's are famous for it's well built bags which provides a safe storage space for your expensive gadgets, with a touch of trend in it. Oh, the name of this bag is WHICKEY & COX. dun ask me why it's called that....it's just how Crumpler likes it... giving their bags weird weird names. The sidebag i wanted to get was called "The Dreadful Embarrassment" -_-" But it's what make Crumpler so unique from the other competitors, which is usually very dull...and boring... So how much was the bag??? haha... I let my cousin guess... she said "$50!!!" i asked her boyfriend... he said "$150!!!" i say... "you're all wrong!!! it's $330..." Expensive!!! i know it's expensive. But i seriously rather pay for something i know can last for a very long time, rather than something that's gonna break in a months time. So no complains...and no regrets!!! =D

If you're thinking of getting a bag for your expensive gear, such as a Dslr or laptop, get something that'll protect it well. I have a laptop bag which was like $160, which i use for uni instead of the one it came with.. Why??? CUZ IT REALLY PROTECTS YOUR GEAR!!! I'm tried chucking my bag on the floor, and my laptop would just go " Did i just hit the floor??? no...just my imagination" So buy something that's WORTH THE MONEY!!! not something that's not worth the money!!!

I've finally developed and scanned all the pictures i took using my uncle's EOS 888. Same problem occured again, but this time 15 pictures were developed, rather than 11. But 3 were exposed, so the photo was all black. I'm still happy with the pictures i took, and I'm sure that i can produce better pictures with a better camera. Anyways, here are the photos i've scanned. Enjoy~ =)

My Sandisk Ultra II 4GB compact flash is finally here after waiting for a week plus. I bought this from ebay as well, and also from Hong Kong. Very cheap larh..only AUD$28 including postage. This one was more than AUD$50 at the shops... cant remember the exact price. 4GB...hhmm...should i get another one??? haha.. ><

I'm so happy today. My NP-FM500H battery has finally arrived!!! I ordered it on ebay js last week, and it arrived within a week!!! so impressed. =D It's 100% genuine Sony, made in Japan and also much much cheaper than retail!!! Dad said he saw it at the shops for RM299. I bought this for only AUD$78 and after coversion. it's less than RM240. Cheap right??? hehe... anyways..here are some photos of it..

I am very disappointed today. I went to develop the photos i took. I finally finish taking 24 photos.. Well, that's wad i thought cuz the film rewind itself after 24 shots. After picking up my photos from the shop, i sat on the bench to look at photos. My goodness, my excited face changed straight away to a serious, disappointed one.. First of all, the colours were dull...like a lack of contrast. Dark purple flowers turned violet. Secondly, ONLY 11 PICTURES WERE DEVELOPED!!! I thought how come 24 photos so little niarh, then i went to count one by one, and found out only 11 niarh!!! there was one photo that was all black, mayb cause it was the end of the film. BUT WHERE HAVE THE OTHER 13 gone too???? i went to check the film negative and saw BIG blank gaps in btwn photos. Thirdly, a few of the photos were overexposed by the sunlight. Looking through the viewfinder, the image seemed fine. But after developing it, i was shocked to find sooo much light in the photo. disappointment followed by more diappoinments... sigh... Luckily it only cost me $6.50 to develop these photos rather than the $15 i asked earlier. If i paid $15 and these came out, i'll seriously go mad. 2 more rolls of film. Should i continue??? Photography is not cheap, especially when u're living alone, and spending money u earned on daily expenses as well, rather than using ur parent's money. i really admire photographers from the old days, when they were using film instead of digital. There's no LCD to look back at the photos u've taken, and there's no other fancy settings. So, i reckon it's easier to master digital photography rather than film photography. back to the question... should i continue????

hhhmm.....i guess so.... =\ can't let one roll of film pull be back right???

The touch pro is also a VERY heavy phone, and not to mention bulky as well. I know it looks nice and the angles at the back looks sexy. But seriously, if u gave me $1000, i'd spend it on..hehe..of cuz i'll spend it on lenses for my camera. xD. but for a phone??? NOKIA E71!!! i also just found out that E72 is out!!! and it's even sexier!!! but phones aint top of my gadget list for now. I still love u PRADA. =D

Today, 19th of September is the day we as a group, celebrate our MOONCAKE FESTIVAL. i know..i know.. we're like a week late..but who cares!!! BBQ-ing is always fun.. And i get to have mooncake!!! i havent had any yet till today...so sad right??? =( bopian.. bo lui ahhh......haha...anyways, here are some photos i took. MJ jie kept going "xiao di!!! I dun care how unhealthy it is, but when i'm craving for a burger badly, THE QUAD STACKER IS THE ANSWER FOR MY CRAVINGS!!! Sadly, it's only for a limited time... =( They had the Mega Mac in Malaysia for a while. Instead of 2 meat patties, there're 4. Guess what my uncle showed me yesterday??? His old Canon EOS 888!!!! He got this camera when it first came out in Malaysia in 1995, that's 13 years ago!!!

BBQ @ King's Park.

Before I start typing, lemme just wish y'all a belated Happy Mooncake Festival or Mid Autumn Festival, whichever u wanna call it. 2 of my uni friends invited me for a bbq @ king's park on Saturday. They have a tradition in Taiwan to have a bbq during mid autumn festival. Although it was on a Sunday, all of us had plans on that day, so we decided to have the bbq on Saturday instead. Weather forecast says " AM RAIN"... meaning only a few showers in the morning. So, at around 3-4pm, i drove to King's Park to meet the lot there. The sun started showing up, and was a good sign for us.... Or so we thought.... It's been a while since i last came to King's Park, and MY GOODNESS...the scenery is stunning as always. Flowers were blooming everywhere, and i got soo excited and decided to take a few photos first b4 meeting up with them. I have no idea what they are so I'll just show the photos.

Tony called me a few minutes later and we met up. Most of the bbq spots were occupied by other ppl, so we decided to had off another direction in search of more bbq spots. On the way, i took a photo of a view of the city from the top.

We walked...and walked....AND WALKED.... for nearly AN HOUR. Guess wad...The sun went to hide in the clouds, and drizzle started pouring on us, yet we continue to walk on a path that never seems to end...
We then come to a crossroad, and majority of us voted to take a right turn. The majority was CORRECT!!! and we were on the right path to the picnic area. Not long after, the sun decides to come out from the clouds. We were all happy and excited again.

AFTER NEARLY WALKING FOR AN HOUR PLUS!!!! we finally arrived at the picnic area!!! Luckily, there was only one family having a bbq around the area, and we scored ourselves a bbq spot. Usually, the picnic area would be PACKED with ppl during a weekend. But i guess the "AM RAIN" scared them off a lil...NOT US!!! we were all damp and hungry and quickly started bbqing.

Actually, we had heaps of food!!!! Initially, there was 8 ppl coming, but 2 decided not to come, so only 6 of us showed up. MEANING, we had more than enough food for each of us. There was also sausages, marinated chicken wings, hotdogs and salad. I only took a few pictures of the food cuz i was busy helping bbqing.

THEN!!!! THE WORST SCENARIO WE COULD EVER IMAGINE!!! THE ONE THING WE HOPE NOT TO HAPPEN, HAPPENED!!! The rain started pouring away!!! We all started running for shelter under a children's play area, leaving our food covered with plastic bags getting soaked by the rain.

*RUN FOR SHELTER!!! Cuz the planks had gaps in btwn, raindrops still dropped from the gaps. Danny went up to cover the area with big plastic bags, so that water wouldnt drop on us. We all then decided to take turns each to cook, and bring the food over once it's cooked. And we did. BBQing the rain wasnt our idea of "FUN"...

About half an hour later, the rain FINALLY stopped...and for good this time. Our plan was to finish bbqing before it got dark, but the rain delayed us soo badly we had to continue bbqing in the dark. A few shots i took of the scenery around us

Eventually, it got dark and there wasnt any sort of light, except the moonlight. So i had to switch on the light on my phone and finish whatever that was on the hot plate. It was dark, quiet and no one in sight. We all just wanna finish bbqing and leave the place.

After packing up, we all decide to leave. But which way??? We say a few cars leaving our area, and all of them heading in one direction, so our natural instinct tells us that, that must be the way out!

*all of us still wet from the rain but excited as ever... It was like in a thriller movie!!! It's dark, there's no one in sight...you get this eerie feeling up ur spine...you just wanna find ur way out of this "labyrinth" EXCITING AND SCARY at the same time!!! =D*

Half an hour later, we were finally out of the maze!!! Found out that we were close to the uni. So all of us decided to take a bus to city and decide what to do after.

After arriving at the city, Rebecca had to go home. The rest of us went to have bubble tea and played a few games of pool before leaving home. As for me....Remember that i drove to King's park??? so why am i catching a bus to the city then??? Well.... It took us an hour or so to get to the picnic area, which means it'll take me another an hour to walk back to my car... Walking in the bush in the dark?? Eerr... NO THANKS!!! SO, my plan was...

#1. leave it there and pick it up tmr morning...some how...

#2. Call my uncle up, hoping he can bring me back to collect my car.

At first, plan #1 was the best choice, cuz i din wanna bother my uncle. But i was scared i'll end up with only the body of my car left...So i continued with plan #2. I called my uncle, and this is what he said " Uurm...i have fren's over from malaysia...maybe i can pick u up from ur home later???" So i had to take a train back home. Moments later, uncle called up again "Cal, i think i cant drive..i had a few cups.... Where r u now???" I told him i was at the train station... then he goes "Uurm..i go fetch u now to collect ur car...i think i should be alright" He wasnt drunk or anything, just that if u get caught by the police to do a blow test, he'd be over the drinking limit.. So while waiting for him at the train station... i took a few more shots before ending my day...

The city can be a beautiful place at night... especially the train station.. Not long after, uncle came and my car was luckily still there. WAD A DAY!!! Havent had soo much fun in a while.. I think i should do it more often!!! =D

I was suppose to make cheesecake over, but I calculated and didnt have enough time to make it, so I went to the cheesecake shop to buy a cake. By the way, we're having LAKSA!!! YES!!! KCH LAKSA!!!

Caversham Wildlife Park

Yesterday morning, I went to meet an uncle from Johor who i havent met in a long time. We went for dim sum and after that decided to bring him to a wildlife park, cuz he said he wanted to look at kangaroos and koalas. It took me like nearly an hour to drive to that place...and on the way... my uncle asked me to make a quick detour..

Well, the trip end of really fun. I love going to zoos and wildlife parks. Just disappointed that i din have a PROPER camera with me in Perth right now. sigh...And my phone which was fully charged at first went dead..like super dead after the kangaroo pictures. The last sign was taken after i re-switch on my phone and taking it just b4 it switched off.. Next time, I'm sure to bring a PROPER camera. I soo wanna steal the baby joey and koala home!!! ><>

But I still like Malaysia's pizza though... I still haven't tried Pizza Hut's star shape pizza. Must try when I go back. However, Domino's just rules in aussie!!! Sorry mel, pizza hut just ain't good enough for it. =P

Today is Michael's birthday!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY MICHAEL!!! So, I went to the city to meet Tony and him. We went to look for cameras at first and then I ask one of the guys where can i find Lomo cameras. For your information, Lomo cameras are THE most unique cameras i've ever seen!!! The pictures they take are just different in colour tone...i dunno how to describe..just unique!!! The cameras are too!!! Funny thing is that the cameras uses film and are mostly made of plastic. haha...

*ok...look at the the pictures that are rounded at the edges? those are taken with the fisheye cameras...it gives that effect. THe middle ones are taken with the Holga and Diana cameras. Both of them takes pictures that makes the colour different from what you see in real life, giving it a unique tone in colour...IT'S JUST SOO COOL!!!!*

Imagine a flamed grilled beef patty sandwiched btwn a bun with crunchy lettuce, juicy tomatoes and sweet onions, with a generous squeeze of mayonaise right in the centre..... what do you get???? A WHOPPER!!!! tat's right!!! it's one hell of a burger!!! Why is it sooooooo gud????

Ok, let's cut that crap out.... It's actually not that nice...Well, this whopper that i had this afternoon that is. The meat is just not nice...soggy lettuce and tomato...I dunno larh..just...not as nice as usual.... Chips are good, but they're sooo UNHEALTHY!!! check out the size of the chips!!! I dunno why they dun have wedges instead. Eemmmmm....wedges....the first thing i come in mind when thinking about wedges is KFC's cheesssyyyy wedges...eeemmmm...cheesssyyy wedgess....yummmmm... but it's soo unhealthy still! ><>

Burger wise, I still think Hungry Jack's burgers are the best. THE BEST OF THE BEST is the ULTIMATE DOUBLE WHOPPER!!!! imagine 2 pieces of beef patties and bacon with lettuce, tomatoes and onions... OMG!!! IT IS HUGE!!!!

This goes into one of the things i'll do before i die. haha..maybe i'll die after finishing one of those!!! LOL!!! jeezz....can u believe how big that is???

Man...i'm gonna have sweet sweet dreams of it tonight.....EMMmm....big big burger....yumm....... Oh! That burger hasn't been finished by anyone so far. Haha!!! I reckon i can only finsh a quarter of that thing only. Lol!!!!
